Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has filed a defamation lawsuit against Evangelist Mama Pat, also known as Nana Agradaa, seeking GH₵20 million in damages. The lawsuit stems from alleged defamatory remarks made by Agradaa, including accusations that Empress Gifty is a "witch," "prostitute," and "thief."

 Media personality Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has commented on the case, stating that Empress Gifty currently holds the upper hand. Pokua explained that such accusations are difficult to substantiate in court, making Agradaa potentially liable for defamation.  

She also noted that Agradaa's defense, claiming provocation by Empress Gifty's husband, may not hold up legally, as the alleged defamatory statements were directed at Empress Gifty herself.
