According to a statement issued by the Ministry on Wednesday, July 29, the relaxation of the restriction applies only to women. The existing ban on men riding motorbikes remains in force until further notice as part of ongoing security measures introduced to curb violence and improve public safety in the municipality.

The motorbike restrictions were introduced following recurring security incidents linked to the long-standing conflict in Bawku.
